There are places you’re from. And then there are places that change how you see everything.
For us, that place is Queens, NYC.
You might hear five languages on one block. Smell jerk chicken, kimchi, and chicken curry all at once. Hear a conversation change from Bangla to English mid-sentence without pause.
Diversity isn’t a buzzword here. It’s what you grow up around without realizing how rare it is.
Before we ever picked up a camera, Queens taught us how to pay attention. And living in a place like this teaches you to notice what most people miss. To read body language. To catch the emotion in a pause. To find meaning in the in between moments.
And because of that, we don’t just document stories.
We understand them.
The TWA Hotel, located in Queens, feels like stepping into a photograph — vintage in all the right ways. Sunken red lounges. Floor-to-ceiling windows. Brass details catching the light.
It’s where we met Anmol and Christelle. But the story didn’t start there.
It started with Tasfia and Ifaz, the first couple who trusted us to photograph them at the TWA Hotel. Their session led to Zareefa and Rudro. Then to Dashanka and Mike. And eventually, to Anmol and Christelle.

Four couples. One location. A ripple of moments that changed the course of our work.
Sometimes we look back and wonder — what if we had never done that first session at TWA? What if we had said no?
That’s the thing about the butterfly effect. It isn’t always dramatic. It’s a small choice. A single inquiry. It’s only in hindsight that you see how far that choice can reach. And somehow, it changes everything — and suddenly, your path shifts.
What began as a simple engagement session with Anmol and Christelle became something more. A connection that led to an invitation to document a multi-day wedding across the world. A celebration filled with meaning, memory, and emotion.
Our first destination wedding in Kolkata, India.
It’s hard to explain what this means to us. Only that it feels right. Like something we were always moving toward. A full-circle moment.
And the fact that it’s in Kolkata feels both surreal and exactly right.
Not just because it’s a milestone, but because the culture, the history, the energy of the city reflects so much of what we value.
Kolkata is where Bangla is the official language — the language we grew up speaking. It’s a place where heritage shows up in the rituals, the colors, and the way people gather. It couldn’t be a more fitting place to begin this chapter of our work.
After the final goodbyes are exchanged, we will cross the border into Bangladesh for the first time since 2018.
A homecoming we deeply need.
As our work takes us across cities and continents, the thread that carries through is the way we see. And the way we see is deeply tied to this beautiful borough. Whether we are documenting an intimate backyard ceremony or a multi-day wedding abroad, we bring the same sensibility Queens gave us: respect, intuition, and an eye for what matters most.
We know when to step in and when to hold back.
We recognize the weight behind a father’s silence. The tenderness in a mother’s glance. The way emotion moves through a room when no one is looking. This perspective is our foundation.
It’s why we create the way we do.Queens gave us more than we could have asked for.
It gave us a way of seeing and feeling. And this has made all the difference.

A cinematic approach to storytelling—capturing memories for the soulful, the romantic, the quietly bold.
